В статье раскрывается тема язычества как главной религии на Украине, предшествующей христианству, с целью описания периода столкновения язычества с христианством, чтобы оценить причины возрастания интереса к язычеству в настоящее время. Статья показывает, что традиции украинского язычества были связаны с древними азиатскими религиями, когда посредническую роль сыграли торговые пути из Индии и Китая в Римскую империю, проходившие через территорию Украины. Далее приводятся подтверждения того, что Украина уже была частично христианской до момента официального крещения Киевской Руси через влияние миссионерских путешествий апостола Андрея, греческих колоний, а также политическое влияние Византии и Рима. В заключении представлен краткий обзор нео-язычества на Украине и указаны главные причины возрастания интереса к язычеству в Украине.References
