Abstract

Джон Голдингей, в своей недавно изданной книге Israel’s Gospel: Old Testament Theology (стр. 764) называет «анти-Ездра-изм» Йодера «левой рукой его христологии». В этой работе мне хотелось бы исследовать следующий вопрос: совместимы ли пацифистская этика Йодера с признанием всех Писаний Ветхого Завета достоверными? В частности, я буду рассматривать его новый взгляд на Ездру-Неемию, совместимость самозащиты иудеев (Есфирь 9) и пацифизма Йодера, а также вопросы, появившиеся в результате его переписки с иудейским раввином пацифистом Стивеном Шварцчайлдом, которые были изданы посмертно в книге Йодера The Jewish-Christian Schism Revisited

Д-р Пол Дж. Кисслинг – преподаватель Ветхого Завета и библейских языков, руководитель отдела научных исследований при Международном Институте TCM (Хайлигенкройц, Австрия); рукоположенный служитель. За его плечами – годы служения в качестве пастора, преподавателя, администратора академической части, редактора и автора в США, Англии и теперь в Австрии. Он проповедовал и преподавал не менее чем в 25 странах мира. Степень д-ра философии в области древнееврейского языка была присвоена ему в Шеффелдском университете. Пол женат; он и его супруга Катерина имеют двоих взрослых сыновей – Джошуа и Иеремию.
