В своем служении Павел столкнулся с критикой авторитетных на тот день людей, которые могли обвинять его в злоупотреблении Божьей благодати. Данное эссе содержит обзор исторических подходов к Павлу и его убеждениям касательно закона, благодати, положения язычников и иудеев перед Богом, а затем рассматривает высказывания апостола в ответ на предполагаемые обвинения в его адрес. Исследуются тексты Послания к римлянам, которые отражают характер обвинений, и затем те, которые содержат изложение концепций, проясняющих положение дел и опровергающих обвинения. К этим концепциям относятся закон, благодать, праведность и новизна жизни.References
